reason being-they can hold up with shaun hill and see what he can bring to the table for the 09′ season but the 9ers truly need a OLB/DE who can make up for the pass rushing ability manny lawson didnt provide.
Darrius Heyward-Bey. They need a good receiver and he has alot of potential and Issac Bruce could mentor him. He will make Shaun Hill or Alex Smith better.
I think the Niners are still feeling the burn of Alex Smith to want to go for another 1st round QB, especially one coming out of a QB draft class that is mediocre at best… I think the Niners are better off sticking to their strength in a draft that wouldn’t really affect the already stagnant offense, draft defense. For that reason it makes total sense for the Niners to go after Brian Cushing or Everette Brown, both fit well into their 3-4 scheme which will add to the already young and developing defense… EVERETTE BROWN

Even though Shaun Hill has shown some flashes the past couple of years the jury is still very much out on whether he can be a championship quarterback in the NFL and it may be telling that Niners head coach Mike Singletary has refused to commit to him. Maybe San Francisco could get by with Hill and maybe they can’t but if Mark Sanchez is still on the board at #10 it would probably be a moot point. A local kid with the elite intangibles that Singletary covets Sanchez has all the tools to be a great quarterback in the NFL and he is the type of guy you can build a team around both on as well as off the field.
They will take Mark Sanchez. Hes a cali boy and alex smith was a bust. They need a QB bad.
